Pitch & Polish Clinic is Back!
Updated: Aug 14, 2019
Wednesday, July 10th, RAMP held its fourth Pitch and Polish clinic of the year!
We had four local entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of regional business experts.
The first of these included Your Crisis Team, where Rick Christ came and spoke of issues that come with emergency preparedness. He was followed by Rebecca Hobden, head of East Coast Cannalytics based in the Corporate Research Center at Virginia Tech. Rebecca spoke of the potential regulations that could come into play with the expansions of the hemp market and what her company is doing to ease those tensions on farmers. Next was Lisa Broyden, who spoke on developing an app to help combat the fast and intense spread of common germs that have a significant impact on personal health and the economic health of industries, workplaces, and families. Last but not least, Devon Taylor of Hoi Polloi Holdings showcased his business plans to focus on the growing mobile food service industry with the intention of becoming a regional, stalwart presence in this market.
Our Pitch & Polish Clinics provide a valuable opportunity in helping you showcase your business plan and receive feedback to benefit not only your company but your community as well.
RAMP is dedicated to helping our region continue to grow and our Pitch & Polish events are just one way we are able to attempt this.
We only have TWO remaining Pitch & Polish Clinics left of the year so REGISTER NOW! There will be one in Lynchburg, Virginia on September 11th and the final clinic of the year will be held on November 13th in Blacksburg, Virginia.
